This path allows you to discover villages with slate roofs and granite walls. Crossing the forest of Les Mazes, you will discover a peat bog and further on, the undergrowth of a magnificent beech forest worthy of an enchanted forest.
Duration of the tour: approx. 2h50
Start from the place de Lieutadès.
1 - Take the direction of Chaudes-Aigues and after the church take a small road which goes down on the left and continue on the path.
2 - In Laborie, follow the tarmac road to the right. At the end of the village, follow the track which goes up on the left.
3 - Go through the village of Lagarde.
4 - At the crossroads, follow the track straight on for about 600 metres then enter the wood to go round the Puech des Mons on the left.
5 - Be careful, take the path on the left.
6 - Be careful, when you arrive on a tarmac road, leave the mountain bike path N°8 (green) opposite and take the D385 on the left.
7 - Leave Lhermet on the left and follow the road on the right towards Les Mazes.
8 - At the entrance of the village, follow the track which goes up on the right.
9 - Be careful, leave the right track flat and go up on the right.
10 - At the crossroads of the tracks turn right, do not go back down to the departmental road.
11 - Cross the Lebot stream and after the footbridge go up the path.
12 - At Laussier follow the road to the right.
13 - Be careful, after La Lauzardie leave the road and take the path which goes up on the left.
14 - At the crossroads, follow the road to the right until you reach Lieutadès.
Delicate passages: After crossing the Lebot stream, the last part of this route is a demanding climb back to the plateau.
